The title basically sums up the whole trip. I boarded the plane with a digital list of restaurants, cafés, bakeries, ice-cream stores and popular hotspots; needless to say I left The Strip very satisfied (and full). Happy stomach equates to happy Shirley!
Sadly I wasn’t fast enough to take pictures of all the food before it was gone so here are a few snapshots!
YAAAAAAS I joined the #basic Instafam in taking pictures of In-N-Out. The burgers definitely lived up to its juicy hype but unfortunately the fries were a total letdown. It tasted like complete cardboard; my heart sank to the bottom of the ocean. McDonald’s still rules in the fries universe!
The not-so-Secret Pizza blew my mind with its portion. The size of one slice was so big that I could barely hold it with two hands. Of course, you’d only see something this large in the land of Amurrica! It tasted pretty average but definitely worth it for the price.
Vegas is quite notorious for its grand buffets so we might as well go to the king of all buffets: Bacchanal inside Caesar’s Palace. They claim to have over 500 selections with a wide variety of cuisines from around the world. I only took a picture of our first round so multiply that by 3 and you’ll understand how much we consumed. Their dessert section was by far my favourite part and I wish I could’ve had one bite of every single one of them #onebitewonder. Gelato, cakes, tarts, macarons, crepes, cake pops, cupcakes, cheesecakes…you name it, they have it. It was every girl’s diabetic dream.
Fat Tuesday is another place every tourist in Vegas must check out! Just imagine delicious 7-11 slurpies spiked with alcohol. Yes, you will get a sugar high and yes, you will be very intoxicated. (Pictures not mine)
One of the activities I knew I absolutely had to try was Coke Around the World! The 16 different types of coke around the globe costed merely $8 and for some reason I was a tad bit nervous. The flavours (in no particular order) includes:
|Tray 1||Tray 2|
1. Inca Kola from Peru 2. Fanta Pineapple from Greece 3. Stoney Tangawizi from Tanzania 4. Sprite Ice from Korea 5. Vegitabeta from Japan 6. Fanta Melon Frosty from Thailand 7. Smart Watermelon from China 8. Kinley Lemon from England
1. Lift Manzana from Mexico 2. Fanta Kolita from Costa Rica 3. Bibo Kiwi Mango from South Africa 4. Jamaican Sun from Mexico 5. Sunfill Mint from Djibouti 6. Smart Apple from China 7. Beverly from Italy 8. Mezzo Mix from Germany
Alas, I stayed in the beautiful Parisian hotel where my 4 days were filled with great food, great city lights, and an even greater company :)
